Lana Parrilla for Regard Magazine, April 2014
The Evil Queen is a very complex, delicious, fun character to play. I love the joy she feels when threatening/intimidating others — too fun. She’s extremely unapologetic and yet still seeks to grow into a better human being. That is what I love most about her.

"I’ve known Julianna for some time. In fact, she called me about the job at the same time that they offered it to me. She said, “Hey I’m doing this show, and there’s a cool role, and I think you’d be great for it.” I came in with a history with her. She’s just the greatest (…) Everybody takes what they do very seriously, but Jules doesn’t take herself so seriously. And she is such a good person, by nature such a caretaker. It’s in her genetic make-up. It’s why she’s such a good mom. She just wants to make sure everybody around her is taken care of. We’re really lucky to have someone like that leading the ship." - Josh Charles
#sansa endures#it’s what she does#she’s tortured day after day and all she can do is smile and thank the people who torture her#all she can do is look straight ahead and will herself not to cry as the horrifying death of her family#of the people she loved#is shoved in her face in more and more grotesque ways#and the fact that after all of that#after all she is made to go through#she can still find it within herself to be kind#that’s the truest sort of strength#that’s a strength few people could barely dream of#it’s sansa’s kindness that defines her#the fact that she can live through what she’s lived through and still look for goodness in people#it’s remarkable (via whoistorule)
